Hi loves and welcome to my blog, The Wagoner! My name is Jolene, and The Wacky Wagon Thread Co. is my baby, my heart and my challenge! I know to some it might be just another brand, but trust me when I say to me it is not. To me the Wagon, is my dream, my passion, my success, my tears, my disappointments and my failures all wrapped into one amazing adventure. It has pushed me to the limit and blessed me beyond belief.
As my business continues to grow and prosper, my followers have grown more curious about me and my brand. Every time I see an email from an individual asking me for business tips, fashion advice, or wanting to hear my story my heart leaps and I feel so incredibly humbled. That is the reason for this blog. Not only will I continue to influence the western fashion industry through my blog and designs, I will share tips and tricks of running an online business, recipes, fitness/wellness tips, interior design inspirations and whatever else strikes my fancy.
Here's a little bit about me
I grew up on the wild and rugged eastern plains of Colorado where the weather is harsh, the cattle are fat and the people are fine! My parents are the living example of a cowboy and an angel. My dad taught me everything I know about grit, work ethic and perseverance. My mama taught me about grace, creativity, unconditional love and self worth. I have two amazing sisters who have, and continue, to influence my life enormously! Growing up in God's country I learned early on how to embrace raw beauty, love thy neighbor and find inspiration in the simple things.
Professionally I am what you would call a late bloomer. I've always been a bit of a gypsy in all aspects of my life, and my professional life is no different. The idea of settling for a profession, I knew so little about, right out of high school seemed like madness to me. So, I took some time to try a little bit of everything and broaden my horizons...and boy did I ever! I eventually found my passion and knack for graphic design and communications in 2014 when God blessed me with a job that changed my life forever (that's a post for another time). Honestly I never knew I could end up here, but GOD is good!
My hobbies include fashion, ranching, rodeo, camping, hiking, fitness, Netflix, cooking, traveling, loving on my dogs, talking with Jesus, and spending time with loved ones.
